To start a career in Transcription you need just the following:
PC & Internet - any Pentium machine is enough
Tenacity & Confidence.

A Full Study Package (MT KIT) containing:-

1. English & Basic Medical Subject Course

2. Medical Atlas (preferably Stedadam's)

3. Dictation ( Audio) Files for training & practice.

4. Few relevant softwares e.g FTP, Word etc.

Price of such a full MT KIT is more than Rs 6,000 anywhere in India. Further it is not readily available. There are many Training centres who take ~Rs 8,000--12,000 for the whole package.

But, why pay so much money ?
